Rico The Florist
Rico is a Master Florist with over 20 years of floral design. Rico started his career at Glen Head Flower Shop in Glen Head, NY. During his time in New York some of his clients included the Castanga Family, the owner of the Miracle Mile in Manhasset, NY, the New Your Islanders and New York Mets. He later moved to Atlanta in 2005 and worked as the Head Designer at Buckhead Florist. Rico has also free-lanced with Darryl Wiseman Flowers where his clients consisted of Tyler Perry, Cecily Tyson, and rapper T.I. He has done numerous floral arrangements for the cast of Atlanta’s House Wives. He has done countless weddings and events. One of his proudest moments was winning first place at the High Museum. In 2014, Rico and Stephanie opened their own floral shop in Sandy Springs, GA. Their clientele consists of the Chamber of Commerce, Zoo Atlanta, Kevin Hart (Engagement Party), multi-platinum recording artists and song writers, Rock City and Usher. Rico is an expert of floral care and a master of exotic and tropical designs. His expertise in the floral industry has helped others to flourish in the industry as well.
Stephanie Wood-Dixon
Stephanie is the co-owner and founder of Northpark Florist. She holds a Master’s in Accounting and business. She is the organizer and financial expert of Northpark Florist and Rico the Florist. Her drive for business led her to open her first business in 2011. Since then, she has created four businesses that are fully operational and successful today. In 2014, she started Northpark Florist with Rico. For the past five years, Stephanie has dedicated her time to building growth and maximizing profits for Northpark Florist. She has met and negotiated with many big name companies for their floral needs. In 2019, Stephanie decided to branch out and form a separate floral brand for Rico the Florist. Rico the Florist is a floral design brand that specializes in providing floral design classes to individuals who want to tap into the floral industry or who just wants to take a class for fun! Stephanie’s dedication and love for Northpark Florist and Rico the Florist continues to grow and inspire others. She also teaches a profitability course that educates upcoming event planners/florists on how to start a business in the floral industry.
